Family: Solanaceae

Silvery Fir Tree tomato is an early season tomato famous for its unique, small delicate foliage. This bush type produces plenty medium sized deep red fruit between 2-3” (5-7cm). It is a bush type tomato plant that grows to about 61 cm, and does quite well in pots and hanging baskets.
Origination: Russia
Recommended Uses: Culinary
Height: 2-3 ft (61-91cm)
Hardiness: USDA 5-9
Flower Color: Yellow
Maturity: 58 Days
Other Names: Serebristaya El

Growing Instructions: Full sun, Moderate water
Start tomatoes indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost of spring, sowing the seeds in a flat 1/4" deep. Keep the temperature warm (70-75 degrees F) and the soil moist until germination, as well as providing plenty of light in a sunny window or under a grow light. When the second set of leaves emerges, transplant the seedlings into individual pots; bury the stems up to the lowest set of leaves to grow strongly rooted plants. A week before planting the seedlings outside, begin acclimating them to the weather during the day to harden them; tomatoes cannot endure cold weather, and should not be transplanted outside until all threat of frost has passed. Space the plants 2' apart. Companion plants that will provide benefits are carrots or onions, however you should avoid planting them with cabbage or other tomatoes.
